Handy Farms is owned and operated by the property’s residents: The Handy Family. Clayton Handy had a dream to create a fully sustainable farm. He dreamed of having his food products free from pesticides, and herbicides, and as nutritionally dense as possible. All products at Handy Farms are grown using a regenerative agriculture system. This means the diverse plant and fungal ecology is planned in such a way that the crop's nutritional needs are met by this underground network. As a result of the dense understory soil organic matter is also building. This improves the soil’s water-holding capacity and pulls carbon from the atmosphere into the soil where it acts as a vital building component in plant growth.
