Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 cup Handy Farms Sliced Almonds
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1. Blanch the green beans
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook 3–4 minutes until bright green and crisp‑tender. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.
2. Toast the almonds
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil. Add Handy Farms Sliced Almonds and cook 2–3 minutes, stirring often, until lightly golden and fragrant.
3. Sauté the beans
Add the drained green beans to the skillet along with garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss and cook 2–3 minutes until warmed through.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Top with extra toasted almonds and parsley before serving.
